Hi! My name is Esther Gibbons and I'm a bilingual wedding and lifestyle photographer from Montreal, Canada.

Photographic style

A blend of photojournalism and creative portraiture.

I favour a candid or documentary approach rather than following a set of prescribed poses. My methods are a mix between a boy scout's and a quarterback's: come prepared but be ready to improvise. I do my best to put people at ease and let their personalities shine!

• Quality: Making high-quality photographs takes more than luck. It takes the right equipment, an artistic eye, the technical competence to handle various lighting situations, and excellent post-processing and retouch skills. I am committed to providing quality.

• Learning: I regularly take training courses, workshops and read books from experts. But the more I understand about photography, the more I realize I still need to learn. I am committed to fighting complacency.
